Manager (f/m/d) Payments

Your Profile: 

Just as every client project is different, we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skill sets for our successful candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm or in a strategic level corporate role with prior consulting experience
  • Operational or advisory experience in financial services with a focus on Payments from several angles: strategic, business, regulatory, processes, technology, platforms, FinTechs, etc.
  • A good understanding of the different payment products and services and their trends, with a view of the different customer segments needs, and the connection with the transaction banking environment
  • A mastery of the various payment eco-systems (regulators, trade associations, shared platforms and providers, etc.) inside banks, at the national levels and at the European level
  • Track record of working in teams and delivering to tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Fluency in English,  German and additional languages are a plus
  • Right to work in the UK or EU
Your Tasks: 
  • You will work with a selected number of clients to deliver a unique collaborative advisory experience. Our clients range from household names in the UK and European financial services industry to national champions and smaller emerging local players
  • You will work with executive boards and senior management to identify strategic opportunities, implement transformational change and to solve complex issues with regards to payment solutions and systems
  • You will work and lead as an integral part of the project team to help drive insight from primary and secondary research and analysis
  • You will take the lead on specific project work streams and manage junior resources to ensure client findings are delivered to time and quality
  • You will be in charge in managing selected client relationships within the project context
  • You will work with a virtual team of colleagues from across Europe and also support junior colleagues
  • Additionally, you will take responsibility for a range of non-project related activities such as recruiting, adding innovative content for thought leadership, developing new propositions and business development
